Rounding off September

What a busy but fun week we just had!    Some of the highlights from last week:
  • Errol Lee Character Ed concert
  • Meet the Teacher Night with outdoor concert, corn and hotdog roast
  • Beautiful weather for our events and recesses.  Summer finally decided to arrive! :)
  • A very productive P.A. day for teachers, setting school improvement goals and learning some great strategies for teaching math!
Suggestions for Home Review:
  • French test (study guide was sent home last week)
  • Capitals and provinces quiz (study guide will be coming home shortly)
  • Math - working on making money amounts with smallest amount of bills and coins (e.g. $87.43)  including rounding to nearest nickel or dollar
  • Language Conventions: reviewing use of it's/its  and they're/their/there
It was a pleasure to meet many of you on Wednesday evening.  I will send home reminders of your November interview times closer to the date.  For those of you who didn't get a chance to sign up, I'll send home a note in the agenda with some possible times from which to choose.

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather this weekend!
